Santosh is a passionate environmentalist and believes that sustainable environment is integral to the full enjoyment of a wide range of human rights, including the rights to education, life, health, food, water and sanitation. After graduating from Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad, he started his career in extractive industry where the development dilemma made him change his life and career choices. He pursued his postgraduation in forestry and environment management and since then has been working towards the social and environment side of the growth led paradigm. His motto in life is “do what makes you happy and at the same time you are happy doing it”.
