Problem Statement

Addressing financial barriers to higher education, with a focus on overcoming obstacles that prevent students from pursuing skills needed for employment and entrepreneurship.

Addressing Educational Barriers for Youth in India

In India, youth aged 18-23 face significant challenges in accessing higher education. According to the Economic Survey 2024-25, only 27.1% of this age group is enrolled in higher education, leaving many without the essential skills and qualifications required to succeed in today’s competitive employment landscape.

Key Barriers to Access:

Limited Access to Higher Education:

Financial challenges prevent many students from pursuing or completing higher education, hindering their ability to gain the technical and vocational skills necessary for the workforce.

Missed Opportunities:

Without financial support, students are unable to acquire the qualifications required for meaningful employment or entrepreneurial ventures.

Escalating Costs:

The rising cost of tuition, textbooks, and other academic expenses presents a major barrier, especially for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Economic Pressures:

Many students are forced to choose between continuing their education and supporting their families, leading to higher dropout rates.

Lack of Mentorship and Guidance:

Many students lack personalized mentorship, making it difficult for them to set academic and career goals, which affects their ability to transition smoothly into the workforce.

Overcoming Barriers to Higher Education and Employment

As a result of these barriers, many students enter the workforce prematurely, lacking the qualifications and skills needed for long-term career success.

At AdiMahesh Seva Foundation, we are committed to addressing these challenges in alignment with SDG 4.4, which aims to increase the number of youth and adults with relevant skills for employment, decent jobs, and entrepreneurship.

We provide Financial Assistance and Mentorship to students currently in 12th grade or those pursuing higher education after completing their 12th grade, ensuring they can continue their studies and acquire the skills required for a successful future.

Through this support, we empower students to realize their potential, helping them build brighter, more successful futures and enabling them to make meaningful contributions to society.

The Journey Behind AdiMahesh Seva Foundation

AdiMahesh Seva Foundation, founded on April 25, 2023, by Vneet Jaain and Anky Jain, a philanthropic couple, is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Inspired by the vision of Vneet Jaain’s late father, who strongly believed in the transformative power of education, the foundation was created with the mission to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them with the resources and guidance they need to build a better future.

Initially, Vneet and Anky personally supported children by providing financial assistance. However, they quickly realized that, in addition to funding, mentorship and career guidance were essential for long-term success. This led to the creation of the AdiMahesh Seva Foundation, which combines philanthropic financial support with a holistic system of mentorship to help students thrive.

Objective

Supporting Student Success Through Financial Aid

Our NPO aims to bridge this financial gap by providing Education Assitance and financial assistance to deserving students. By alleviating the burden of college fees, we support students in completing their education, acquiring relevant skills, and achieving their career goals in alignment with SDG 4.4.

Establish a Comprehensive Mentor Program

Implement a mentorship program connecting students with industry professionals and educators to provide guidance, support, and networking opportunities. This initiative aims to foster essential skills for employment and entrepreneurship, empowering students to build confidence, expand career prospects, and enhance job market readiness, aligned with SDG 4.4.

Impact

By addressing these financial barriers, we empower students to pursue higher education and vocational training, enhancing their employability and entrepreneurial opportunities, and contributing to a more skilled and inclusive workforce.
