Bharti is a journalist, expert columnist, editorial writer and corporate communications professional in a career spanning nearly three decades.
After completing graduation in history from Indraprastha College, Delhi and LL.B from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, she worked in leading national English dailies The Time of India, Patna; The Times of India, Goa (where she was the Founder-Editor of the supplement ‘Towntalk’; The Navhind Times, Goa; Goa Today; The New Indian Express and Deccan Herald, Bangalore. She has also been associated with Hindustan Times, Patna and The Pioneer, Delhi as Expert Contributor. In addition to working in mainstream media companies, she was also associated with other organisations. She was an Advisor with KPMG, Researcher in a Political Consulting firm, Founder-Editor of a Digital website, India Employer Forum in Bangalore and Legal Advisor with a large Goa-based group.
Presently, she is Contributing Editor – NDTV, based in Ahmedabad.

She has written 700+ published articles, editorials, op-eds, research papers and investigative stories in leading English dailies and journals of repute during her career.
Bharti is a Chevening Scholar in Journalism from the UK, having interned with The Times, London during her scholarship. She has been a research scholar with the Hindu Centre of Politics & Public Policy, Chennai.
She was bestowed with the Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Journalism during her stint in The New Indian Express.
